The Hurricane has arrived...
I got this nickname while participating in a fundraiser at Orting High School when I was a Junior. We (the Junior
Class) were mud wrestling the Senior Class. I had to get a nickname that was good enough to go up against "Six
Pack MacFarland". A friend of mine suggested "Hurricane". I liked the way that sounded and it has stuck with me
ever since. I may be older and a bit heavier, but I can still kick some butt. (By the way, I beat "Six Pack
MacFarland" that day.)
That was a while back in my life. Since then, I have been in the Army, traveled the world, met a
couple of very special people, got married, got out of the Army, had a son, traveled the world, got divorced, got married
a second time, had a daughter, bought a house and am presently helping my husband with his Custom Body shop.

This Mother's Day, I was surprised to see my husband pulling into the driveway in a beautiful '89 red
Jaguar! He got out and said, "Happy Mother's Day!" He told me that although he may not buy many things for me,
when he does do it, he does it right. I'll say!!! (I'm STILL at a loss for words.)
